Travis Pastrana will drive the Kaulig Racing No. 25 Ram 150, also known as the ‘Free Agent Truck’ in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Friday, May 22nd.
“I love racing and competing at everything, and NASCAR is one of the biggest and most competitive stages on earth,” Pastrana said to Motorsport.com. “Having the opportunity to hop in the No. 25 Ram truck with Kaulig Racing through the Free Agent Program is an amazing opportunity. These Ram 1500s are so much fun to drive. We’re going to go out there, put on a show for the fans and see what we can do.”
Pastrana, best known for competition in the X-Games and his rally racing career, will make his eighth career NCTS start and his first Truck start at Charlotte. This will be Pastrana’s first time racing on an intermediate track since 2020, when he finished 21st for Niece Motorsports at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. It’s also his second start of the 2026 season following a 15th place finish in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway, also driving for Niece.
The 42-year-old will race at Charlotte for the first time since 2013, as a part of his full-time NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season in RFK Racing’s No. 60 Ford Mustang. In that season, he earned a pole position at Talladega Superspeedway and four top-ten finishes, including a tenth-place at an intermediate at the aforementioned Las Vegas.
Pastrana joins a stacked rotation of drivers featured this year in the No. 25 Ram. Three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Tony Stewart opened the campaign at Daytona, with Ty Dillon, Colin Braun, Corey LaJoie, Carson Ferguson, and Parker Kligerman driving the other races so far this season and A.J. Allmendinger, Clint Bowyer, and Jamie McMurray confirmed to make starts later in the season.
