Two-time Indianapolis 500 champion Takuma Sato will attempt to qualify for the 110th running of the race driving the No.75 Honda for Rahal Letterman Langian Racing for the third straight season.

The 2017 and 2020 winner will look to enter his 17th Indy 500 in May with AMADA America, a machine tool manufacturer and sheet metal supplier, as the car’s primary sponsor.

Sato’s last full time season in the NTT IndyCar Series was 2022, where the Tokyo, Japan native finished 19th in the standings with Dale Coyne Racing. When reviewing his time with RLL, Sato had finished seventh, 14th, and ninth in his last three starts with the organization. Four of his six series wins have also come with the team where he raced full time from 2018 to 2021.

In last years running, Sato led 51 of the first 88 laps of the Indy 500 before a pit stop error dropped him back in the race but recovered to finish ninth.

With Sato entry into the 110th running of the ‘Greatest Spectacle in Motorsports’, the list now holds 31 cars. With other teams like Andretti Global or Prema Racing still potentially finalizing their driver lineups for the event, fans could see more cars added to the list at a future date.
