Justin Allgaier won the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race at EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta on Saturday, locking himself in as the 2026 regular season champion. The No. 7 JR Motorsports team endured multiple overtime restarts for their sixth win of the year.
Fellow JR Motorsports driver Carson Kvapil finished second, once again falling just short of his first career victory. Kvapil narrowly beat Viking Motorsports prodigy Parker Retzlaff in a drag race to the line behind Allgaier.
Day and Gray Tangle

Two Chase contenders were eliminated on Lap 112, when a stack-up in the outside lane triggered a multi-car crash. Corey Day and Taylor Gray tangled into the wall, with both cars being totaled. While Day has a comfortable cushion over the Chase cutoff line, Gray has less margin for error.
“It’s not good for our situation,” Gray said. “But I know we have some really good coming up for us. We have a lot of races that we can go and win in the next few weeks.” Following Saturday’s race, only 17 points separate Gray from the Chase cutoff.

On Lap 152, owner-driver Jordan Anderson made an aggressive move to the inside of three other cars in Turn 1. After clipping the apron, Anderson drifted upward into Sheldon Creed, collecting Jesse Love and Brent Crews on the outside. Despite sustaining minor damage, Parker Retzlaff escaped the incident to finish third.
“Right at the last minute [I realized it was four-wide],” Anderson said. “That’s probably why you saw me try to maybe go on the yellow line.”
“I thought the No. 32 would keep pushing me, but then [he] put us four-middle into [Turn] 1,” Creed said post-race. “I thought it was dumb, and then he never made the corner. He pushed us all into the wall.”
Dash to the Line

On the final overtime restart, Alpha Prime Racing’s Brennan Poole broke away into the lead seeking his and his team’s first ever victory. Poole’s lead quickly evaporated into Turn 1, with Nick Sanchez and Justin Allgaier making it three-wide to his inside. Poole and Sanchez both slid up into the wall, leaving Allgaier with the lead.
For the second time in two Atlanta races, Parker Retzlaff wound up in second on the final lap. Just like in February, he lacked the time or momentum to mount a run for the win. In fact, he narrowly surrendered second to Carson Kvapil at the line. William Sawalich and Anthony Alfredo rounded out the top-five.
Points Outlook

With his win Saturday, Justin Allgaier is mathematically guaranteed the top overall seed in the 2026 Chase. Second-place Jesse Love sits a distant 240 points behind Allgaier, himself clinching a Chase berth despite wrecking and finishing 26th.
Taylor Gray is the final driver in the Chase, sitting 12th in points after a wreck relegated him to 33rd. Rajah Caruth, having split the 2026 season between JR Motorsports and Jordan Anderson Racing, is the first driver outside looking in with a 17-point gap to Gray. Gray’s Joe Gibbs Racing teammate William Sawalich is 14th, 21 points removed.
