Two of Tricon Garage’s three full-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series drivers were announced to be returning for 2027 on Wednesday. Gio Ruggiero and Kaden Honeycutt will remain in their respective rides for at least one more season.
Both Honeycutt and Ruggiero made the 2027 Craftsman Truck Series Chase and Honeycutt is the points leader with three races remaining. Ruggiero is currently seventh in the standings, 151 points behind his teammate.
Kaden Honeycutt alone is responsible for four of Tricon Garage’s seven wins in the 2026 season, with part-time driver Corey Heim accounting for the other three. The No. 11 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro team, which won the championship last season with Heim, is closing in on their second-straight title. Whether Honeycutt finishes the job or not, his team is giving him another shot in 2027.
Gio Ruggiero has yet to win during the 2026 season. This Friday he’ll return to Talladega Superspeedway, the site of his first career win one year ago. At 20 years old and wrapping up his second full season in the Craftsman Truck Series in the No. 17 Toyota, Ruggiero has proven himself as one of the top prospects in Toyota’s ranks.
The one full-time Tricon Garage driver whose fate remains uncertain is Tanner Gray, driver of the No. 15 Toyota. Gray is in his seventh full season with Tricon and is still seeking his first career victory. After back-to-back seasons finishing 13th in the standings, Gray is currently 16th with three races remaining. The No. 1 and 5 trucks also run full-time, but with a rotating driver roster.
