Frankie Muniz will miss this week’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Watkins Glen International, Team Reaume announced on Sunday. He’ll be stepping away to compete in the GT4 America Series at Sebring International Raceway.
Team Reaume has not announced who will drive the No. 33 Ford F-150 in Muniz’s absence. Last year when Muniz missed four races due to injury, the truck was driven by Mason Maggio for three starts and Tyler Tomassi for one.
This season Muniz is competing full-time in the GT4 America Series for TechSport Racing. Alongside fellow driver Tyler Stone, he pilots the No. 30 Ford Mustang GT4. By missing Watkins Glen, Muniz will now fall short of the full 25-race schedule in both of his first two seasons racing in the Truck Series full-time.
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is scheduled to run the BullyHill Vineyards 176 at Watkins Glen International this Friday at 4:30 p.m.
