Christopher Bell will be competing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Darlington Raceway next week. Halmar Friesen Racing announced they’d be entering Bell in the No. 62 Toyota, the team announced on Friday.

Bell will be the third driver this year to start a race in the Halmar Friesen Racing No. 62 truck, which competes full-time with a rotating cast behind the wheel. John Hunter Nemechek opened the season at Daytona International Speedway and EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta. Wesley Simp then took the reins at the St. Petersburg street course.

Halmar Friesen Racing also announced that Pristine Auctions is coming aboard to sponsor Bell at Darlington. Pristine sponsored trucks in two Truck Series races last year: Brent Crews at Watkins Glen International and Toni Breidinger at Phoenix Raceway.

Christopher Bell’s first ever start for Halmar Friesen Racing came in 2025. He raced the No. 52 truck at Watkins Glen after driver-owner Stewart Friesen was injured in a modified race. Bell finished fourth in his only Craftsman Truck Series start of 2025.

In two full seasons of Truck Series racing, Bell collected seven race victories and won the 2017 championship. Since then he’s made only five more starts in a truck, placing top-five in three of them. Bell has only one victory at Darlington Raceway in NASCAR national competition: a 2024 win in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.
