NASCAR Cup Series driver Ross Chastain has booked four starts in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series this year, driving for Jordan Anderson Racing Bommarito Autosport. He’ll be driving the No. 32 Chevrolet at EchoPark Speedway, Circuit of the Americas, Watkins Glen International, and Sonoma Raceway.
“We’re excited to welcome Ross to the No. 32 for these races,” said team owner Jordan Anderson. “He’s a proven winner at the Cup level, but he’s also someone who understands what it takes to grow within a team and build results through hard work. His experience and perspective will be valuable for everyone in our organization.” JAR announced earlier in the offseason that Rajah Caruth would also be running part of the season in the No. 32 Chevrolet.
Three road courses in Chastain’s four-race JAR slate doesn’t appear to be a coincidence. The 33-year-old has a one win and a stellar 5.6 average finish at Circuit of the Americas in five starts, plus one top-five apiece at Watkins Glen and Sonoma respectively.
Ross Chastain’s Extracurricular Racing
When he makes his season debut at EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta, Chastain will be making his first ever start in a JAR Chevrolet. Last year he competed in five starts for JR Motorsports, including a season-best finish of third at Iowa Speedway. In his four years competing full-time with Trackhouse Racing in the Cup Series, Chastain has raced part-time in the lower two series each season.
The four starts announced for Chastain at JAR aren’t the only times he’ll be appearing in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series this year. In October, JR Motorsports announced that Chastain and Cup Series teammate Shane van Gisbergen would be splitting a part-time schedule in the No. 9 Chevrolet.
In November, NASCAR announced that they’d be allowing Cup Series drivers with three or more years of experience to run a maximum of ten races in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. Chastain will also be competing in eight Craftsman Truck Series races for Niece Motorsports in 2026, the maximum amount allowed under the new rules.
