Justin Allgaier and the No.7 team for JR Motorsports (JRM) captured the flag for the second week in a row at Martinsville Speedway in the ‘NFPA 250’, marking the second straight season where the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series veteran has three or more wins.
The seventh race of the season would begin without a qualifying session the perivous day due to weather, with the current points standings setting the starting lineup with Allgaier on the pole.
The Brandt Chevrolet would dominate throughout stage one, with the only major incident coming at around lap 30 with the No.5 of Luke Baldwin, making his debut for Hettinger Racing, would collide with the outside retaining wall in Turn 3. Allagier would win the stage, leading the first 60 laps.
Stage 2 would begin with a lead change after pit stops, with the No.17 of rookie Corey Day of Hendrick Motorsports leading for the first time in the afternoon, but it didn’t come without a battle from the No.41 of Sam Mayer for Haas Factory Team.
The next incident of the race would come at lap 90, with Jeremy Clements suffering front damage issues and leaving debris on the racing surface. The following restart saw Mayer under pressure from the No.21 of Austin Hill would steal the lead late and earn the Stage 2 victory.
The final 110-lap stretch was one that saw numerous names make appearances up at the front, one of them being the No.9 of Lee Pulliam, a short-track late model ace making his series debut for JRM.

Pulliam would lead during the last 50-lap stretch of the race, but Allgaier would not go away without a fight. Eventually, he would make his way towards the front after a few cautions and restarts.
While it was a day of positivity for Pulliam, it was also a day of crucial mistakes, especially with a restart with 17 to go. The short-track star missed a shift, causing calamity behind him involving numerous drivers such as Carson Kvapil, Brent Crews, Harrison Burton, and others who were vying for top 10 finishes.
