The Turkish Grand Prix at Istanbul Park will return to the Formula 1 schedule for the 2027 season. The arrival of of the Turkiye circuit means F1 now has 24 scheduled races for next year, including lining up another addition to offset two outgoing events with the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix and the Dutch Grand Prix leaving the calendar for ’27.
The venue has hosted races for the series from 2005 to 2011 then returned for stand-in events in 2020 and ’21 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Those two most recent races marked memorable moments for the sport such as Lewis Hamilton claiming his seventh World Championship in 2020 and Valtteri Bottas’ victory in 2021.

CEO of Formula 1 Stefano Domenicalli said. “As a city, Istanbul represents a cultural gateway between Europe and Asia, offering a unique blend of history and tradition with a forward-thinking approach to sport, business, and entertainment.”
Domeincalli and the sanctioning body has not yet announced the exact date for the event.
