Brandon Jones will remain in the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota GR Supra in 2027, the team announced on Thursday. Jones is in his seventh overall season with JGR and his second since returning to the team in 2025.
So far in 2026, Jones has one win and sits sixth in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series standings. All eight of the races the 29-year-old has won in his career to date have been with JGR. He also has two full seasons under his belt for Richard Childress Racing and JR Motorsports respectively.
“[Joe Gibbs Racing] is home to me. We’ve built a great relationship over the years and it’s exactly where I want to be at this point in my career,” Jones said. “Not only has this been the place where I’ve found most of my success in my career, but I also value the chemistry and relationships we’ve built as a team on the No. 20. I think we’re just scratching the surface of what we’re capable of as a group and I’m excited to keep building with this team in 2027.”
With the announcement of Brandon Jones’s return, Joe Gibbs Racing has revealed the entirety of their 2027 full-time driver O’Reilly Auto Parts Series lineup. The organization is running back their 2026 roster of Jones, Brent Crews, Taylor Gray, and William Sawalich.
Menards Returns
Also returning in Jones’ contract extension is his primary sponsor Menards. The company is 13 seasons into their relationship with Jones in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. They haven’t appeared on any other driver’s car since their 2021 partnership with Austin Cindric.
“Brandon has represented the Menards brand exceptionally well both on and off the racetrack,” said Menards President and CEO John Menard. “We’re proud to continue our longstanding partnership with him and Joe Gibbs Racing and look forward to building on the success we’ve enjoyed together.”
