Nick Leitz will return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for Tricon Garage for four more races in 2026, the team announced Monday. Leitz will drive the No. 1 Toyota Tundra at North Wilkesboro Speedway (July 18), Richmond Raceway (August 14), Bristol Motor Speedway (September 17), and Kansas Speedway (September 26).
Earlier this season Leitz made his Tricon Garage debut in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway. Driving the No. 5 Toyota, Leitz qualified 25th, led three laps, and finished 11th. He picked up five stage points after running sixth at the conclusion of Stage 2.
Elsewhere in NASCAR, Nick Leitz has two starts this year in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. He finished 18th and 29th in the year’s two races at EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta.
“It felt like we were making decent moves to be up near the front at the end of this thing,” he said after his race-ending wreck Saturday in Atlanta. “I always like plate racing and stuff, just didn’t work out this time.”
When he climbs into the No. 1 Toyota this weekend, Leitz will be its ninth driver of the 2026 season. Corey Heim and Brandon Jones have made four starts each, while one race apiece has been driven by Thomas Annunziata, Brent Crews, Dario Franchitti, Taylor Gray, Jimmie Johnson, and William Sawalich. Heim has wins in the No. 1 truck at Rockingham Speedway and Michigan International Speedway.
The No. 1 Tricon Garage Toyota is currently third in the 2026 Craftsman Truck Series owner points standings. The entry is 121 points behind the No. 34 Front Row Motorsports Ford, and 77 behind the No. 11 Tricon Garage Toyota. It’s presently the highest truck in owner points without a full-time driver.
