Viking Motorsports is keeping both Anthony Alfredo and Parker Retzlaff for the 2027 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season, the team announced Thursday. Their two-man driver lineup has been at the center of a breakout year for the organization.
27-year-old Alfredo will stay in the No. 96 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, with crew chief Josh Graham returning alongside him. 23-year-old Retzlaff will keep his seat in the No. 99 Chevrolet, with crew chief Danny Efland coming back as well.
“Keeping Anthony, Parker, Josh and Danny together was a priority for us heading into 2027,” said team owner Don Sackett. “Both of these teams have shown what they’re capable of this season. The way the No. 96 group has come together over the back half of the season has been impressive, and the No. 99 making the Chase in just its second full-time year says a lot about the people at Viking Motorsports. Continuity matters in this sport, and we believe these four give us the right foundation to keep moving forward.”
Viking Motorsports is in just its second year as an independent race team. Already the organization shows race-winning speed on a not infrequent basis. In 2025 they ran just one car: Matt DiBenedetto drove the No. 99 Chevrolet full-time. With three races to go, Connor Mosack stepped in to close out the remainder of the year. The decision to expand to two cars and bring in two new drivers has proven to be a fruitful one for Viking.
Parker Retzlaff Breaks Out

Moving from Alpha Prime Racing, Parker Retlzaff has quickly established himself as one of NASCAR’s top prospects. Coming off a 22nd-place points finish in 2025, Retzlaff currently ranks 11th and is in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Chase. Though a win has eluded Retzlaff, he has top-five finishes in four races this year.
“I’m really grateful to ownership and everyone at Viking Motorsports for the opportunity to come back,” Retzlaff said. “This has been the best year of my career, and a lot of that comes down to the team assembled around me. Making the Chase was a big goal for us, but none of us are satisfied. We know each other now and we know what we need, so having another year with the same group has me excited for what we can do in 2027.”
Anthony Alfredo Builds Momentum

Anthony Alfredo joined Viking Motorsports at the start of 2026 after a year with Young’s Motorsports. His Viking career started with a stumble; Alfredo failed to qualify for the season opener at Daytona International Speedway and made the race only after Caesar Bacarella offered him the No. 4 Alpha Prime Racing car. Since then Alfredo has built his most consistent season of racing in multiple years. He has three top-fives and ranks 16th in points with two races to go.
“We’ve come a long way since this team was put together last December,” Alfredo said. “Josh and I have worked together before, and the whole No. 96 crew has put in the work to get where we are now. The way we’ve been running lately shows where this team is headed. Being able to carry that momentum into the offseason is huge for us.”
