Austin Hill continues to find his magic on Superspeedways as he took home the checkered flag to win the United Rentals 300 at Daytona International Speedway. This marks Hill’s fourth career win at Daytona and his 15th career win.
“I love these guys, man..Everyone that makes this possible,” Hill said post-race in victory lane.
“I wanted to work with my teammate there at the end. I just knew the bottom was gonna work,” he added.
Hill and his Richard Childress Racing teammate Jesse Love were almost inseparable for most of the event. A late race caution allowed the No. 21 machine to come down and get four fresh tires while most stayed and played right into Hill’s lap for the winning moves.

JR Motorsports driver Justin Allgaier survived the chaos to come up just short in second place on the night. Ryan Sieg managed to get third after an up-and-down night that included a spin and a flat tire. Jordan Anderson and Sammy Smith rounded out the rest of the top five.
While not ending the way he would have liked, Rajah Caruth impressed in his debut with the JR Motorsports 88 Chevy. Racing hard in stage two and even getting by the superspeedway juggernauts of Richard Childress Racing. After the smoke cleared, the Rookie of the Year Candidate managed a 10th-place finish after a late race spin.
Another notable run was for Anthony Alfredo after a tough few days at Speedweeks. After missing the Daytona 500 with Beard Motorsports, he failed to qualify on time in his first race with Viking Motorsports.
Both Alpha Prime Racing and @VKNGMotorsports are working together to put @anthonyalfredo in the #4 Chevy in order for the full-time driver to compete for points.
Co-owner @AlphaBacarella, who is not running for points, will step away from his driving duties in tonight’s race.
