Up-and-coming stock car driver Presley Sorah is chasing his dreams and checking them off his bucket list.
Sorah will compete in the ARCA Menards Series’ General Tire 200 at Daytona International Speedway according to a release from the team Friday afternoon. He’s set to pilot the No. 9 Ford Fusion this February for Fast Track Racing in his first career Daytona start.
The 22-year-old Indiana native will be taking a major step forward in his racing journey, making his seventh ARCA Menards Series start overall. He’ll have sponsorship for the race from several partners including GoGut Microbebiotic and HealthMarkets Insurance.
“Today’s announcement is truly a monumental moment in my young career,” Sorah said in a prepared statement. “To have the opportunity to compete on NASCAR’s biggest weekend, and at its most historic race track, is something I won’t take for granted and always dreamed of being able to achieve. I am ecstatic for my amazing partners that are joining me for this event, and for all of my family, friends, and core support group that has continued to support this vision and dream I’ve had all my life.”
The Road to Daytona
Last season Presley Sorah made three starts in the ARCA Menards Series, competing at Kansas Speedway, Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park (IRP), and Toledo Speedway. His best finish was a 21st-place run at Kansas.
“Having Presley in our No. 9 car at Daytona this year will be a real honor for us,” added Fast Track team owner Andy Hillenburg. “It is great to see the young guns grow within the sport. Presley drove his first couple ARCA races with Fast Track Racing and now we get to go to the pinnacle of motorsports together as well.” Hillenburg himself is no stranger to Daytona International Speedway. He won the track’s season-opening ARCA race as a driver in 1995 and 1997.
Sorah’s been preparing for this moment for years. Not only have his six ARCA starts helped him hone his craft, but he’s also had the opportunity to complete a series of test sessions at Daytona.
Each January since 2024, Sorah has climbed into an ARCA car to familiarize himself with one of the most intimidating and storied venues in all of stock car racing. Just last week, he placed 58th out of 82 drivers. That experience could provide an important foundation for Sorah to build on as he seeks to translate testing familiarity into racing performance.
Supportive Sponsors
Sorah’s foremost supporter, GoGut Microbebiotic, is a health supplement company based out of nearby Port Orange. When Sorah rolls off the grid on February 14, it’ll be the first time GoGut has ever appeared as a primary sponsor in the ARCA Menards Series. The excitement of that opportunity isn’t lost on GoGut’s Lindsey Tobias.
“GoGut Microbebiotic is proud to team up with Presley Sorah, driver of the No. 9 car, for ARCA racing action during Daytona 500 weekend,” Tobias said. “Daytona demands endurance, focus, and consistency on the track and in the body. GoGut’s prebiotic fiber supports gut health and sustained energy, helping Sorah stay race-ready from green flag to checkered flag.
Joining GoGut in sponsoring Sorah is HealthMarkets Insurance, who are sending five of their agents to the racetrack to support the No. 9 Ford.
“Myself and several other HealthMarkets agents have come together to form a partnership with Presley Sorah for his upcoming Daytona race,” added HealthMarkets agent Rick Fallis. “We couldn’t be more excited to be on board for the biggest race of the year. Presley embodies the same drive, commitment, and passion in racing that we have as agents. We look forward to the opportunity in Daytona and beyond.”
Further sponsorship of the No. 9 car for Daytona will come from Progressive Medical Research, GoGut Cafe, Truck Parking Club, and Clean N Simple Commercial Cleaning Services. “It’s very exciting to welcome back partners from 2025, while simultaneously working to bring new partners into the sport as well,” Sorah continued. “I am very appreciative of their support and can’t wait to represent all of my partners while we work through this great opportunity together.”
The General Tire 200 at Daytona International Speedway kicks off on Saturday, Feb. 14 at noon. Television coverage will be on FOX with streaming available on the FOX Sports mobile app.
