Katherine Legge will make her first NASCAR Cup Series start of 2026 this weekend, driving the No. 78 Chevrolet for Live Fast Motorsports at Watkins Glen International. She’ll have sponsorship from e.l.f. Cosmetics, who supported her in her part-time Cup Series campaign last year.

Across her diverse racing career, Legge has made ten starts at Watkins Glen. In 2017, she won the 6 Hours of The Glen in the WeatherTech Sports Car Championship, driving for Meyer-Shank Racing alongside Andy Lally.

Legge, a 45-year-old British sports car racer by trade, made her NASCAR Cup Series debut last year at Phoenix Raceway. Driving for Live Fast Motorsports, she made five starts in the 2025 season. Her best result was a 17th-place finish at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in July.

When she rolled off the grid at Phoenix last year, Legge became the first woman to compete in the NASCAR Cup Series since Danica Patrick in 2018. In last year’s race at Watkins Glen, Legge qualified 37th and finished 36th.

Prior to her Cup Series debut, Legge competed sporadically in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series from 2018 to 2025. Her road course prowess was visible in 2018 when she finished 14th at Road America driving for JD Motorsports. Last year she paired her Cup Series schedule with a part-time schedule for Jordan Anderson Racing and Joey Gase Motorsports.

In April, A.J. Foyt Racing announced they’d field a third car in the 2026 Indianapolis 500 for Katherine Legge. In five previous Indy 500 starts, Legge’s best finish was 22nd in 2012.
