Six women ran the ARCA Menards Series West race at Phoenix Raceway on Saturday, establishing a new series record. Before Saturday’s race, five was the most women who ever competed in a single race in the series.

All six drivers gathered for a photo on pit road commemorating the historic occasion before the race. Taylor Reimer, Hailie Deegan, Jade Avedisian, Quinn Davis, Mia Lovell, and Dystany Spurlock all rolled off the grid for the Desert Diamond Casino West Valley 100.

Top Performers

Taylor Reimer was the top performer of the race, finishing second in her No. 82 Pinnacle Racing Group Chevrolet. She was scored 1.135 seconds behind race winner Max Reaves, clinching her best ever finish in an ARCA-sanctioned race. Reimer even held the lead for part of the event before Reaves reclaimed the point on a restart.

Next in the finishing order was Hailie Deegan, who finished sixth in her No. 16 Bill McAnally Racing Chevrolet. Deegan improved on an 11th-place run in her first Phoenix race of the season.

Mia Lovell finished eighth in her No. 15 Nitro Motorsports Toyota, nabbing her sixth top-ten in 12 races this season. Immediately following her was Jade Avedisian, who placed ninth in her No. 70 Nitro Motorsports Toyota.

Veteran motorcycle drag racer Dystany Spurlock finished 14th in her series debut, driving the No. 66 MBM Motorsports Toyota. Quinn Davis wound up lowest of the six women, coming home 26th in her No. 41 Jan’s Towing Racing Ford. At 17 years old, Davis was the youngest of the six women in Saturday’s race.

Women in the ARCA Menards Series West

As historic as Phoenix already was for the ARCA Menards Series West, the event nearly made history on an even greater scale. ARCA veteran Isabella Robusto was originally slated to make her second West Series start of the season for RAFA Racing Team, but the entry was withdrawn on Friday. If seven women raced on Saturday, it would’ve set a new record for any ARCA-sanctioned race in history.

Hailie Deegan and Mia Lovell are both running full-time in the ARCA Menards Series West in 2026. Deegan is currently fifth in points with one win, while Lovell is eighth in her rookie season with a best finish of second at Sonoma Raceway.
